The bamboo and cane crafts of Bihar have a rich historical past that is amalgamated with the preferences of the modern urban people. "Bamboonomics" initiative, an ambitious and sustainable project that aligns perfectly with the goals of Jivika and BRLPS. Bamboonomics aims to harness the potential of bamboo, a versatile and eco-friendly resource, to uplift the lives of local women in Bihar. Through this project, we aspire to create a holistic value chain that empowers Jivika Didi's SHGs to establish their own bamboo-based enterprises, produce market-driven products, and achieve financial independence.
Yachak Foundation is conducting specialized training for field coordinators and volunteers, focusing on effective strategies to engage bamboo artisans. Through this initiative, participants will learn targeted outreach techniques to raise awareness about bamboo entrepreneurship opportunities, empowering artisans to harness their skills for sustainable livelihoods and community development.
